Alfred Onyenwezi is a talented gospel musician with a career that began in 1993. Starting with the trumpet, he later mastered the keyboard, guitar, and vocals. Becoming a professional musician in 1996, Alfred further honed his skills through voice training. His dedication and versatility have earned him respect in the music industry, and he now also serves as a music coach, sharing his expertise with others.

Daniel Olaoluwa Falana is a talented percussionist and keyboardist with a deep passion for Gospel music. As the music director at RCCG Jesus House Inner-City Outreach, Daniel fosters an environment where faith and artistry come together, inspiring others to experience the transformative power of God through music.

Doris Onuzulu is an accomplished vocalist who began performing at age 6 in choirs. A multiple award winner, including accolades from the Musical Society of Nigeria, Doris is skilled in Alto, Tenor, and Soprano parts. Her formal training in Advanced Music Theory further enhances her vocal abilities. Dedicated to sharing her passion, Doris provides vocal training in church and school choirs, inspiring students to discover their unique voices. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Medical Genetics from the University of Manitoba.

Brass Instructor

Phillips is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and a trumpet player with over 15 years of experience. He plays for COME UP HIGHER MUSIC and his church’s worship team, while also coordinating the JESUS HOUSE RECITAL, a program designed to help young instrumentalists develop their musical talents for God’s glory. His mission is to inspire children to use their skills to honor Jesus. Phillips enjoys listening to gospel music and spending quality time with his family. He holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics.

Ifeanyinchukwu Akintade, Violin Instructor

Ifeanyichukwu Akintade is a skilled violinist who began her journey with the Catch Them Young For Jesus Violin Orchestra in 2010, where she completed her training in just one and a half months. After two years, she became a violin instructor, mentoring young students for 13 years while performing, conducting, and serving as concertmaster. Now based in Winnipeg, she serves as a violinist and alto singer at Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries. Passionate about teaching, she is dedicated to helping her students grow and excel on the violin.

Joseph is an experienced keyboardist with over a decade of playing Christian music. He began playing the keyboard as a way to express his love and devotion to God and is passionate about sharing this knowledge with his students. Joseph focuses on developing his students’ ability to play intuitively by honing their musical ear, tailoring each lesson to their individual level in a fun and engaging way. He is dedicated to guiding students on their exciting musical journey.

Divine is an experienced bassist with over 6 years of involvement in ensembles like the Powermine Choir and Jesus House Choir. Currently, he serves as a production engineer and bassist at Come Up Higher Music. With a passion for teaching, Divine is committed to inspiring future bassists through high-quality instruction and a deep love for music.

Samuel Ogunsola

Videographer and Graphic Designer Instructor

Samuel Ogunsola is a skilled videographer and graphic designer with a passion for visual storytelling. With years of experience in music video production and graphic design, Samuel is proficient in tools like DaVinci Resolve, Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Canva. His hands-on approach fosters creativity, empowering students to create impactful visuals and succeed in the music industry. In addition to his role at Come Up Higher, Samuel is a 5th-year doctoral student and Vanier Scholar at the University of Manitoba.
